Since 2005, B+K Konzell in the Bavarian Forest has been regularly certified according to the British standard BRC/IoP (British Retail Consortium and Institute of Packaging) as a production location for foodstuff packaging.
The company has now decided to undergo auditing according to DIN EN 15593. This European standard has been developed by the packaging industry itself and focuses on "good manufacturing practice". It is also more compatible with quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001. "Further development on the basis of recognised standards from official standardisation institutions is therefore ensured", according to the head of quality management, Dr. Kai Dormann.
Bischof + Klein systematically produces high quality. This was the result arrived at by the audit for recertification on the basis of DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, which was carried out in parallel over a period of several days at both of the company's German plants. "The auditors attested to the high level of both management systems and emphasised the competence of our employees", reported quality manager Dormann.
