Responsible
“Our flexible packaging is making an important contribution to strengthening the sustainable circular economy. 100% recyclability of our films and packaging is the declared objective of our development work at B+K." One major success achieved as part of B+K's development work is the company's ten-fold increase in the use of post-consumer recyclate (PCR) compared to the previous year.
During the 2020 pandemic year, flexible packaging from Bischof + Klein proved particularly important in supplying the population with products. As a systemically relevant production company, B+K was aware of its responsibility. Thanks to its comprehensive crisis management and its employees' extensive commitment, the company remained able to reliably supply its customers at all times.
This particularly concerned packaging for medical products, but also for foodstuffs and consumer goods. For instance, the global vaccination campaign is reliant on the type of high-purity packaging that Bischof + Klein manufactures in its B+K CleanFlex® product line.
Two major projects were launched during the 2020 reporting year: the Bischof + Klein Operational System (BKOS) production offensive was rolled-out throughout the company with training courses and workshops. Making good things even better is the objective of all Bischof + Klein employees. To achieve this, they benchmark themselves against the best in our industry.
The Alwin.23 project is preparing for the ERP system switch. The new SAP S/4HANA platform will enable Bischof + Klein to achieve the optimum flexibility and speed required for digital business models. The objective of all of these projects is to elevate the company to the Champions League of the international packaging industry.
