Protection for high-gloss

05. June 2013

Bischof + Klein recently presented its technical films with great success at the "interzum", the world's largest furniture manufacturing and interior design trade fair.

The trade fair team returned to Lengerich from Cologne with a variety of promising enquiries. "Our protection film for high-gloss surfaces, in particular, generated major interest", reported Nando Ibershoff. In view of the trend towards high-gloss painted kitchen fronts, the B+K sales employee stated: "Our extremely high-quality protection films are in great demand here."

Around 53,000 visitors from 148 countries attended the trade fair, with around 70 percent coming from abroad. The “interzum” particularly saw a significant rise in the number of guests from China, the USA, the United Kingdom, Russia, Poland and Turkey.

The 1,512 exhibitors from 62 countries presented technical and design innovations. A trend towards the reduced use of materials with constant quality was prevalent throughout. Resource efficiency also plays a major role at B+K. The films are thinner and are specifically given characteristics which correspond precisely to their function. B+K produces self-adhesive films and glue-free adhesive films for both smooth and structured furniture surfaces. If necessary, they can be stretched and are heat-resistant so that they also protect surfaces during further processing, e.g. during thermal forming. An important aspect, and one which is a matter of course for B+K: all films can subsequently be removed without leaving residues behind.
